I just love it when I get e-mails from "asylum camps." We all know those third-world concentration camp guards like to give the inmates footrubs with their Internet access...
My response? Nothing more than "What kind of document was it, and if you can send me a copy I would be happy to examine it."

I am contacting you based on the believe that you are capable of givingme a helping hand.
But first let me introduce myself. I am Ruth Konah,the only daughter ofMr.Dick Konah,a personal aid to Mr Charles Taylor,former president ofLiberia.
During his planned exit from power,my father who is as well acordinator of some secret export business that he was doing wasassisinated due to some misunderstanding between him and Mr president overthe sharing of some business assets and proceeds. At the event of myfather's mysterious assasination,I was scared that my life is in dangerdue to the manner Mr President normally deals with the families of anyopposing force to him.I quickly took all my fathers personal effects andescaped to Abidjan,capital city of Ivory Coast which has common borderwith our country and sought for refuge.
I found out from the document I found in his personal briefcase that mylate father deposited ($8.5 million US Dollars)in a suspence account witha bank here in Abidjan and I am the next of kin to all this deposit.I haveverified this deposit with the said bank.
I appeal to you to be my guardian,and foster parent and to help me getthis money transfered into your account for investment in your country.
I also plead that you help me resettle my life in your country tofurther my education because I am suffering here in the Asylum camp. Ipromise to keep to any mutual agreement we might reach as regards to yourfinancial compensation if you sincerely help me,but I am ready to give you15% of the total amount as your own part for your efforts.
I will give you more details as soon as we recieve a reply from you.
Pls I would like you to keep this message very confidential to yourselfeven if you do not want to help me.This is for my security and that of themoney as this country is very close to mine.
